Most dog trainers and behaviorists are frauds and are ripping off the public by providing a service that is little more than a sham.
- The techniques taught do not work in real life. For example they tell you to ignore bad behavior and tell you not to say "NO" because you will hurt your dog's feelings.
- Most of the "dog training" is little more than giving the dog treats for everything.
- The "behavior modification" consists mostly of using dangerous and inhumane head halters to restrain the dog.
- The techniques don't stand to reason. For example, they tell you to turn your back when the dog jumps on you and then give the dog treats when he jumps off.
To tell if a dog trainer is a fraud go to their web site (if they even have one) and see if the dogs in the pictures are all on leashes or being restrained using head halters, head locks or bear hugs.
