Train your dog right and hire a good dog trainer the first time.
Usually the best dog trainers charge a little more but are well worth it and a much better value. What is expensive is when the amateur dog trainer's method does not work and then you have to hire a real dog trainer.
Good dog trainers are usually very professional and appear successful. If an accountant or lawyer pulled up to your house in an old car you could expect them to be not so good at what they do (as evidenced by their junky vehicle). The same holds true for dog trainers.

The mark of an amateur dog trainer is that they do not offer Off-Leash dog training obedience, use Food-Bribery and clickers, and talk about their "method" a lot. These dog trainers usually try to hide the Food-Bribery from you by calling themselves a "Positive Reinforcement Trainer" and that if you are not doing it their way, you must be using cruelty. What is cruel is when the treat-bribery does not work and the dog must be euthanized because the dog turned aggressive and bit a child in the face.
Also don't get conned by dog trainers who tell you how many thousands of dogs they trained or how many years they have been training dogs. Maybe they trained 5,000 dogs wrong for the last 15 years.
Food trainers are usually the first to tell you to euthanize your dog when the Food-Bribery does not work.
