The Dog Who Loved Too Much

Dr. Nicholas Dodman 1996/1997. Dr. Dodman has given us a very readable book that is different from common training books in that it isn't a "how to" book for come, sit, stay commands. Rather, this book covers case studies of dogs with behavior problems divided into three overall categories:

• The Aggressive Dog,

• The Fearful Dog and

• The Obsessive/Repetitive Dog.

Is your dog one of the more than 2,000,000 dogs that Dr. Dodman says suffer from this problem?  In Chapter 6 of his book, the chapter that gave the book it's title, Dr. Dodman gives a number of practical suggestions for helping your dog, and you, rest easier when you're away.   Chapter 8 addresses separation anxiety in older dogs.
