I own a 4 year old Female, deaf Dalmatian. We got her when she was 9 weeks old. She is a very beautiful dog. Her eyes are "Crystal Blue".

Initially when we got her we took her to Obedience school. She was trained by a woman who does training for rescue dogs. The training helped immensely. A couple of hints:  if you put your deaf dog outside and it is time for them to come in, it helps to turn the porch light on and off. Or even use a flashlight. It has been my experience, most deaf dogs chase light. She was trained to heal with a laser pen.

She is however, very posessive over people once she gets to know them. She does not like for our other Dalmatian to get attention if she isn't in the spotlight, it seems she is not happy.

I am thankful to own my "Deaf Dalmatian" And remember, you can't always believe what you hear about certain breeds etc... it is all in how you raise them.
