MAKE TAKING PILLS & MEDICINE FUN FOR YOU AND YOUR DOG:

Very few dogs are happy to take their medicine.  How many times have you shoved a pill down your dog's throat just to see him spit it out a few seconds (or minutes) later.  Hiding them in their regular food doesn't often work.

Here are a few simple hints that might help you and
your dog!

* wrap the pill in a tasty leftover

* coat the pill in something your dog really likes such as peanut butter or cream cheese 

Watch their weight and allergies if taking pills is a long term project for your pet.

If you really want to wrestle the pill down, push it to the back of your dog's mouth, hold their muzzle up into the air and gently rub their throat with a downward stroke.  This encourages them to swallow.
